Studitalia celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, it is the longest running foreign language prize in existence with Qld Education department. This year 4 young girls were the recipiants, 2 local girls and two from North Queensland.

The ceremony started with the both the Australian and Italian National Anthems. The ceremony was opened by Ms Patrea Walton, Deputy Director-General Education Department Queensland, her address was followed by Consul to Italy, Qld & NT, Ludovico Camussi.

The Consul congratulated the organisers, the teachers and also the students that participated. Also present was President of COM.IT.ES QLD & NT, Mariangela Stagnitti, President of Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Qld, Hon. Comm Santo Santoro, Director of COASIT, Dina Ranieri and both the Presidents of Dante Alighieri Brisbane and Gold Coast as well as teachers and family members.

The highlight of the afternoon was a performance by year 4 students of Bulimba State School who performed a song, of course in Italian.
